So- I was feeling deeply insane, and I went to Mexico.

All year I have been telling people- bragging, let’s be honest- about the fact I was getting to go to Mexico. This is the kind of high stakes travel I thirsted after, as a loser who felt ashamed of dropping out of college and having to work in sundry retail and hospitality jobs while the people I should have been graduating with were doing internships or getting actual careers.
